Lalitpur – Former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel has cast his vote in Lalitpur Constituency No. 2 under the House of Representatives election.
He cast his vote at the Mahadev Temple polling center in Bojhe Pokhari, Mahalaxmi Municipality, at exactly 7:07 AM today. According to election officials, Kharel became the first voter at that polling station.
Speaking briefly to the media after voting, Kharel urged all eligible voters to exercise their democratic rights. He said, “I have cast my vote, and I request everyone to participate in the voting process.”
This is the first time Jagdish Kharel is contesting as a candidate for the House of Representatives from Lalitpur Constituency No. 2. He appealed to the public to treat the election as a celebration of democracy and to ensure peaceful participation in the voting process.
Voting began at 7:00 AM across the country, including Lalitpur-2. Polling stations have reported encouraging voter turnout since early morning. The Election Commission has stated that preparations are in place to ensure that the voting process is completed peacefully and systematically within the scheduled time.
