Rautahat – Voting for the House of Representatives election began simultaneously across the country, including Rautahat district, at 7:00 AM today. According to the District Election Office in Gaur, the voting process started on time at all polling centers and stations located across the four constituencies of Rautahat.
Since early morning, voters have been arriving enthusiastically at polling centers to exercise their democratic right to vote. Election officials reported a significant turnout of voters at several polling stations across the district.
To ensure that the election is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful environment, strong security arrangements have been implemented in Rautahat. Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal stated that nearly 10,000 security personnel have been deployed across the district, including the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, the Nepal Army, and temporary police personnel.
Under the security strategy, Nepal Police and temporary police have been stationed in the inner security ring of polling stations, while Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army are responsible for the outer security perimeter.
The Election Commission has also instructed officials to give priority voting access to persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and postpartum women, allowing them to vote without waiting in long queues.
According to official data, a total of 436,611 registered voters are eligible to cast their votes in Rautahat district in this election.
Local authorities have urged residents to participate in the voting process confidently without fear or intimidation. The voting process will continue until 5:00 PM today.
