Kathmandu – According to preliminary results of the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) is leading significantly across the country. The latest update shows that Raswapa has won 36 seats.

This result has posed a challenge to the traditional political parties. Among them, the Nepali Congress has so far won 6 seats, securing the second position.
According to the latest results, Congress winners include Bharat Bahadur Khadka from Doti–1 with 14,897 votes, Basana Thapa from Dailekh–1 with 12,372 votes, and Santosh Subba from Tehrathum–1 with 11,561 votes.
Similarly, Mohan Acharya from Rasuwa–1 won with 10,656 votes, Yogesh Gauchan from Thakali Mustang–1 with 3,307 votes, and Tek Bahadur Gurung from Manang–1 with 2,415 votes.
So far, Raswapa is leading in 84 constituencies, while Nepali Congress is leading in 10 constituencies. The CPN-UML has won 2 seats and is leading in 9 constituencies. Meanwhile, the CPN has won 2 seats and is leading in 10 constituencies.
Notably, in Jhapa–5, senior Raswapa leader Balen Shah has taken a lead of approximately 35,000 votes over CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.
According to the current election results, Raswapa has emerged as a strong political force nationwide.
The election outcome has challenged the position of traditional political parties, while new political parties have established dominance among the voters.
