Former Soldier Dies in Bus Collision on BP Highway

Ramechhap – A tragic accident occurred on the BP Highway in Hirapani, Kamalamai Municipality–4, Sindhuli, where a bus collided with a scooter, resulting in the death of one person.

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Shrestha from Bittijor, Goljhor Rural Municipality–2. According to authorities, Shrestha had retired from the Nepal Army two years ago after receiving a pension and ran a soap business in Dhurabazar.

Family members said that Shrestha was traveling by scooter to his village to cast his vote when the bus hit him.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bus came from the wrong direction and struck the scooter. Following the accident, Shrestha’s body has been kept at Sindhuli Hospital. The police have stated that further investigation is ongoing.
